Finding Good Theology in Bad Songs

(Songs so bad only Jesus can redeem them)

Some of the greatest statements of faith are found in the songs Christians sing – Amazing Grace, Just a Closer Walk with Thee, Shout to the Lord, Here I Am to Worship. Just hearing the music can draw us closer to God.

Then there are other songs that, well, don’t really inspire us. In fact, they might make us cringe and throw our hands over our ears and beg someone to make it stop. You know, really bad songs. Is it possible that there might be some good theology hiding behind those terrible lyrics?

That’s the challenge as Pastor Laura and our band “treat” us to some awfully bad music with some surprisingly good theology. You won’t want to miss it! (Okay, maybe you will except it’s kind of like a car wreck – you can’t look away.)
