We've come a long way, baby! Our denomination, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), began as a movement on the Amercian frontier. Who are we and where did we come from? Can learning about our past help us chart a course to the future?
Come travel back in time to the exciting early days of the Restoration Movement, the beginning of what became the Disciples of Christ. You will meet some of our colorful founders and learn why they felt it was important to start something new in American Christianity. In worship, you'll hear more about the Disciples' view of the Bible, baptism, communion, and being a part of the Church everywhere. You'll sing some songs from the past, play some old-fashioned games, and even try some crafts from long ago during Act(s) II. Don't miss this interactive, intergenerational, time-travel experience!
