"Who Is God?"
Pastor Laura Guy

Here's an instant replay of what happened in worship:
- We began our new series, "A Travel Guide to Christian Faith" by hearing a conversation between a traveler - one who is seeking God - and a helpful person at an information booth. The traveler asked the question, "Who is God?"
- We learned about this series, how the purpose is to give us a tool to use so we can begin conversations with seekers, too.
- We thought about the answer Christians would give to the question, "Who is God?" - "Look at Jesus." Jesus is the way God chose to reveal Himself most fully to us, and even though we can never fully comprehend the mystery of who God is, God wants us to know Him.
- We realized that, even though many people have an image of God as a man who sits on a throne, keeping track of our sins, in Jesus we see a God who eats with sinners (Matt. 9:9-13).
- We spent time in prayer, asking God to bring to mind people we know who might have questions, might be seeking after who God is. We wrote their names on pieces of paper and placed them in a basket so we can pray for them throughout this series.
- We celebrated communion at the table of love, reminding ourselves that there are MANY empty seats still at this table.
