"The Time of Your Life"

We honored our graduates by presenting them with their own copy of "The Message" and praying a blessing on their lives.
Bethany Guy, one of our gradutes, gave a message based on Eccl. 3:1-8. She remembered how scared she was to graduate from 6th grade and face going to middle school. Looking back now, she realizes how many positive things happened in her life because of that change.
We reflected on the timing of life and how God moves us on to the next thing when it is "time." We can either fear those changes or trust that God will be with us and help us find our way in the new phase of life.
We heard Fusion 112 sing a song called "This Journey is My Own", which describes how each of us must ultimately make our own decisions about what kind of life we will lead.
We celebrated communion by pausing to remember who we are. Although culture might try to tell us that we are what we do or we are what we drive, the table reminds us who we truly are - a child of God, redeemed by Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit.
