Super Bowl Party 2009

Living Water's 5th Annual (and Clif's 25th Annual) Super Bowl party was Sunday night, Feb. 1, 2009. It was a great game. Not quite as spectacular as last year, but great in its own way. Congratulations to the Steelers who overcame a furious comeback by the Cardinals.

The battle of the commercials was fun too. 27 ads received votes. The 3D ads were a bust (see photo below of almost everyone wearing 3D glasses). Surprisingly, our top ad was also the favorite of the USA Today Ad Meter. Here are our favorites:

  1. Doritos ad in which a guy uses a snow globe as a crystal ball (36 points).
  2. CareerBuilder.com ad regarding indications it's time to get a new job (24 points).
  3. Bridgestone ad featuring Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head (21 points).

Honorable Mention goes to the other Doritos ad in which a man had super powers each time he crunched a chip (18 points). No other ad got more than 6 points.
