Super Bowl Party 2008
February 3, 2008

Living Water's 4th Annual (and Clif's 24th Annual) Super Bowl party was Sunday night, Feb. 3, 2008. It was the best Super Bowl game in memory! The catch by Tyree in the Giant's winning drive was unbelievable; he pinned the ball to his helmet and maintained control while being tackled. Outstanding! Congratulations to the Giants who prevented the Patriots from completing a perfect season in a huge upset.
The battle of the commercials was as close as the game. In fact, we had a tie from the 27 ballots returned. For the first time in a long time Anheuser-Busch didn't dominate. Votes were scattered among 23 different ads. Here are our favorites:
1. E-Trade ad featuring a baby who hired a creepy clown (26 points).
1. Fed-Ex ad involving the use of carrier pigeons to deliver freight (26 points).
3. Coca-Cola ad with parade balloons chasing a Coke (15 points).
Honorable Mention goes to three ads tied at 10 points: Bridgestone ad featuring Alice Cooper and Richard Simmons, Anheuser-Busch ad where a Dalmatian trains a Clydesdale to the tune of Rocky, Frito-Lay ad involving Doritos, a mousetrap, and a very large mouse.
USA Today's Ad Meter results are here, with the ability to watch the commercials again here. Their rankings:
